Should we use Solidus or Shopify?

Shopify if you want a managed platform, a fast launch and a catalog and checkout that fit its model. Solidus if you sell at high volume, need custom checkout, pricing or product logic, or want to own the code with no platform fees. We build on both, so we recommend based on your business.

How is Solidus different from Shopify?

Solidus is open source and self-hosted on Ruby on Rails. There are no platform or transaction fees, and every part of the store can be customized. Shopify is a hosted service with a monthly plan, which means less to run but limits on what you can change.

Can you integrate our store with our ERP, WMS or 3PL?

Yes. We connect Solidus and Shopify to ERPs, warehouse systems, 3PLs, tax engines and marketing tools, with retries, logging and alerts so orders, inventory and fulfillment stay in sync.

Can you migrate our store to a new platform?

Yes. We migrate between Shopify, Solidus, Spree, Magento and WooCommerce, moving products, customers and order history and mapping redirects so you keep your search rankings.

Are you a Shopify and Solidus partner?

Yes. MagmaLabs is a Shopify Partner and a Solidus partner, and a Gorgias partner for customer support integrations.
